Vishal Bhardwaj Approaches Sara Ali Khan For His Next Directorial

Vishal Bhardwaj last directed “Pataakha”, featuring Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan in lead roles. He is planning to rope in Sara Ali Khan for his next directorial.

Vishal Bhardwaj, who last directed Pataakha (2018), featuring Sanya Malhotra and Radhika Madan in lead roles, is planning to roll his next directorial. According to reports, the acclaimed filmmaker is about to rope in newcomer Sara Ali Khan to play the female lead in his next offering.

If a source in the know is to be believed, Vishal Bhardwaj has even narrated his next script to the newcomer. The source informed an entertainment portal that Sara Ali Khan has indeed been approached by Vishal Bhardwaj for his next film and that the filmmaker has narrated the script to her a while ago and is awaiting a nod from her to sign her on the dotted line.

Sara Ali Khan, the daughter of Saif Ali Khan and Amrita Singh, made her acting debut with Abhishek Kapoor’s Kedarnath (2018) and impressed everyone with her acting abilities. After Kedarnath, she was seen in Rohit Shetty’s cop drama Simmba (2018) opposite Ranveer Singh.

Meanwhile, Sara Ali Khan is looking forward to the theatrical release of her much-awaited film with ace filmmaker Imtiaz Ali. Sonu Ke Titu Ki Sweety (2018) fame actor Kartik Aaryan is playing her love interest in the movie which has been tentatively titled Aaj Kal. If reports are to be believed, the upcoming romantic drama is a sequel to the Imtiaz Ali-directed 2008 hit Love Aaj Kal, starring her father Saif Ali Khan alongside Deepika Padukone. It is scheduled to arrive in theatres on 14th February, 2020.

Sara Ali Khan will follow it up with an out-and-out comic-caper called Coolie No. 1 with Varun Dhawan. Helmed by David Dhawan, the film is an official remake of the 1995 cult comedy of the same name, starring Govinda and Karisma Kapoor in lead roles. Coolie No. 1 releases on 1st May, 2020.
