Lal Jr To Share The Screen Space With Mammootty In “Bilal”

Lal Jr, whose real name is Jean Paul Lal, is an actor and filmmaker. He predominantly works in the Malayalam film industry and has been a part of a few memorable films over the years. Lal Jr is the son of actor-director Lal. He went on to make his acting debut with the 2012 movie Cobra, co-starring Mammootty and his father Lal. The very next year, Lal Jr debuted as a filmmaker with the film titled Honey Bee (2013) alongside Asif Ali. The film went on to become a blockbuster hit.

His last directorial was Driving Licence (2019). Starring Prithviraj Sukumaran and Suraj Venjaramoodu in important roles, the film was superhit venture. The film was bankrolled by Supriya Menon under her home banner Prithviraj Productions in association with Listin Stephen’s Magic Frames.

Lal Jr Reteams With Mammootty After “Honey Bee”

It seems like the filmmaker and actor is having the time of his life. The filmmaker, who is on high both behind and front of the lens is all set to star in Mammootty’s much-talked about film Bilal. He has reportedly come on to play a pivotal role in the movie. It remains to be seen whether the actor lives up to the expectations of the audiences.

For the uninitiated, Bilal is a sequel to Big B (2007). It will see the lead actors Mammootty, Mamta Mohandas, Manoj K Jayan and Bala reprising their roles in the film. However, Lal Jr is a new addition to the cast of the film. It is all set to go on floors soon. It has been learnt that the next film of him has been titled Tsunami. Ace filmmaker – actor and Jean Paul’s dad Lal will be penning the script for Tsunami. Lal Jr will be joining the star cast of Bilal when the shooting commences.
