Singer Sugandha Date Wins "Saregamapa Li'l Champs", Bags 5 Lakhs Cash

"I am extremely happy to have received this opportunity to showcase my talent on such a great platform like "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs", said the winner.

It has been more than 3 months now the singing reality show Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs 2019 has been entertaining us with some sweet melodious songs. The Champs were indeed keeping us on the brink of our seats with their marvellous performances, some of which were even better than the original tracks.

And finally, after 3 months the show has pulled its curtains gifting us with a real gem and a true champ in the form of 14-year-old winner Sugandha Date.

Her voice was such a treat to our ears that she often forced the audience to pull a comparison between her and Bollywood playback singer Shreya Ghoshal. The other five contestants who competing against her were Pritam Acharya, Ayush KC, Aastha Das, Mohammed Faiz, and Anushka Patra.

Post-lifting the Li'l Champs trophy, young Date said "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Lil Champs has been a great learning experience for me. I feel blessed to have been trained under such fabulous experts and mentors. The judges have always motivated me through my singing journey and helped me understand my caliber and potential as a singer. I am extremely happy to have received this opportunity to showcase my talent on such a great platform like "Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li’l Champs".

"I am glad to have made some special bonds with the jury members and my fellow contestants whilst on the show which I am going to cherish for life. Before participating in Sa Re Ga Ma Pa Li'l Champs 2019, she had been a contestant for Indian Idol 2013 where again Sugandha Date was one of the finalists. But this time around the young singer went on to lift the trophy completing her dream of lifting a reality TV show trophy.

The event was a glamorous show with performances from the judges Richa Sharma, Shaan, and Amaal Malik. More glitz was added to the night with the performances of Mika Singh, Kumar Sanu, Babul Supriyo and Kavita Krishnamurthy joining the stage with the judges. Bollywood stars Shahid Kapoor and Kiara Advani added more glamour to the evening making it a complete affair.
