This morning, news broke out that a stalker was arrested for breaking into Taylor Swift's home in New York. The incident happened right after the day Taylor had an interview with Elle in which the singer shared about her fear of being stalked.

According to a source, the stalker was Roger Alvarado. He was under arrest for allegedly "ransacking" Taylor's home. He was reported to climb up to her second-floor using a ladder. A glass door of her house was also broken due to a concrete block. Later, Alvarado left the tower by one of the doors. Fortunately, Taylor Swift was reported not to be at home when the incident happened.

Based on Page Six reports, Roger Alvarado was accused of "stalking, burglary, felony criminal contempt for violating the order of protection, criminal mischief, and two counts of burglar tools." Other details were not revealed, but the crime was rumoured to take place at 2:30 a.m ET on Thursday.

Surprisingly, that was not the first time Alvarado broke into Taylor's home. Last year, he had already invaded Taylor's Soho apartment and even slept on her bed. He was then sentenced to nine months in prison but served six. However, he violated his probation as he once again committed the same crime.

Just one day before this home invasion, Taylor Swift recalled her history with stalkers in an article from Elle. The singer admitted that she still had a fear of violence in her personal life at the moment.

Taylor had suffered from many home invasion and obsessive fans incidents before. Due to that fact, she had no choice but tried to have faith in humanity and remind herself of the good in this world.
