Varun Dhawan & Alia Bhatt To Take The “Dulhania” Franchise Forward?

Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt are one of the most loved on-screen pairs in Hindi cinema. Whenever the duo works together, they just scorch the silver screen with their sizzling chemistry.

After debuting together with Dharma Productions’ Student of the Year in 2012, Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt went on to star in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania (2014) and Badrinath Ki Dulhania (2017). Both films turned out to be big hits at the box-office.

Now, rumors are rife that director Shashank Khaitan is planning to roll the third installment of the franchise soon.

One of the leading Indian dailies reports that Dharma Productions’ blue-eyed boy Varun Dhawan recently went to meet filmmaker Karan Johar after wrapping up his forthcoming dance flick Street Dancer 3D.

A source close to the development informs that the talks about the third installment of the franchise have initiated and the recent meeting between Varun Dhawan and Karan Johar has fuelled the rumours further.

Varun Dhawan is undoubtedly one of the most bankable stars of this generation. If we keep his last film Kalank aside, he has not delivered any flop ever since debuting in Hindi cinema.

His fan-following is immense not only in India but abroad also. It remains to be seen whether or not he reunites with Alia Bhatt once again for the third installment of the popular franchise.

Meanwhile, Alia Bhatt is presently busy shooting for her next film Sadak 2. The film is a sequel to the 1991 musical hit Sadak, starring Pooja Bhatt and Sanjay Dutt.

It marks the directorial comeback of Bhatt's father and veteran filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt after a huge gap of 20 years. Besides Alia, Sadak 2 also stars Pooja Bhatt, Sanjay Dutt, Aditya Roy Kapur.
