Tara Sutaria Joins The Ensemble Cast Of “Ek Villain 2”

Tara Sutaria was last seen in writer-director Milap Zaveri’s romantic film “Marjaavaan”. She has now joined the cast of filmmaker Mohit Suri’s next “Ek Villain 2”.

Tara Sutaria, who was last seen in writer-director Milap Zaveri’s romantic film Marjaavaan (2019), has just joined the ensemble cast of the forthcoming Bollywood film Ek Villain 2, a sequel to the 2014 musical hit Ek Villain, starring Shraddha Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra and Riteish Deshmukh in lead roles. Tara Sutaria is the latest entrant in Ek Villain 2 as the Mohit Suri directorial already stars John Abraham, Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani in lead roles.

Ekta Kapoor led Balaji Motion Pictures, which is co-producing the film with Bhushan Kumar’s T-Series Films, welcomed the actress onboard with a tweet. The production house wrote that a big welcome to the super gorgeous and talented Tara Sutaria, the newest member to join the Villain gang! It’s going to be one hell of a ride!

Talking about casting Tara Sutaria in Ek Villain 2, Mohit Suri said in a statement that it takes a lifetime to get the nuances of a musician but luckily for him, Tara Sutaria has been training for this all her life. What more can a filmmaker ask for. He added that she has a new-age, uninhibited voice which comes from a place of honesty. That’s exactly what his character needs in the film.

Ek Villain was also helmed by Mohit Suri and starred Sidharth Malhotra, Shraddha Kapoor and Riteish Deshmukh in principal characters. The movie was a huge box-office hit and went on to garner more than ₹100 crores at the box-office.

Mohit Suri recently collaborated with Aditya Roy Kapur and Disha Patani on Malang (2020), which also emerged as a clear winner at the ticket window. Ek Villain 2 is jointly produced by Balaji Telefilms and T-series. The movie is slated to release on January 8, 2021.
