The controversy pertaining to the open letter written to PM Narendra Modi by 49 celebs is yet to take a backseat, now actor Kaushik Sen has started receiving death threats. The actor has approached the local police to lodge a formal complaint and will seek police protection if required.

The local police administration has now launched an investigation into the matter. Kaushik Sen has submitted the phone number through which he received the call and police is trying to track the person behind the threats.

The open letter written to PM Narendra Modi, 49 celebs condemned the lynchings taking place in the country. The letter showed dissent towards the use of Jai Shree Ram chants being used as a provocative war cry and to harass the minorities.
