Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha announced their separation in August, 2019. It was indeed a shocking piece of news for all their fans and well-wishers. Before heading to splitsville, the couple was always seen together, posing and partying. So, when the news came out that Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha have decided to call it quits, many did not believe it until the two released a joint statement confirming the development. Both requested some privacy and did not talk about their separation openly.
However, Dia Mirza recently opened up about the same and how she has managed to go on with life. In an interview, the former beauty queen said that her privilege as a celebrity does not disallow her pain. She revealed that she derived strength from her parents’ separation 34 years ago. She said that she told herself that if she could handle it at four-and-a-half, there is no reason why, at 37, she would not be able to.
The actress, who married long-time business partner Sahil Sangha in October 2014, went on to add that men and women hesitate to take certain decisions because they are afraid, but one has to find the courage to believe that this too shall pass. She opened up about her separation while talking to a National daily.
Dia Mirza also added that she vents, then returns to her serene self. She has been meditating for 14 years and her mornings are spent in the building garden. Even her home is full of lush greenery, with birds and bees visiting.
Meanwhile, Dia Mirza is looking forward to the release of her forthcoming film Thappad. Directed by well-known director Anubhav Sinha, the social drama film stars Taapsee Pannu in the lead role. It is slated to roll into theatres on 28th February 2020.
