Nithya Menen All Set To Headline A Period Film On SKYLAB

Nithya Menen was last seen in Bollywood film “Mission Mangal”, co-starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari.

Nithya Menen is one of the finest actresses working in Indian cinema. She has always chosen powerful parts to play on screen, irrespective of the length of her roles. The actress was last seen in a Hindi film called Mission Mangal (2019). It marked her screen debut in Bollywood. Also starring Akshay Kumar, Vidya Balan, Sonakshi Sinha, Taapsee Pannu and Kirti Kulhari in important roles, the sci-fi film went on to perform extremely and earned over Rs. 200 crores at the domestic box-office.

Nithya Menen is currently working on a couple of Malayalam and Tamil projects which are currently at various stages of development. The latest we hear that the talented actress has signed yet another sci-fil film after Mission Mangal, which will be made in Telugu. Yes, you heard it right!

Telugu cinema has time and again proved that when it comes to making content-driven movies, powered by taut screenplays, rich narratives and strong performance, it is at par with any other film producing industry in the world. It is set to bankroll yet another ambitious film which will feature Nithya Menen in the lead role.

According to reports, Prithvi Pinnamaraju, the distributor of successful films like Arjun Reddy (2017) and Agent Sai Srinivasa Athreya (2019) is taking a plunge into film production with a concept-based period movie. The main cast has already been locked. Besides Nithya Menen, the movie will also feature Satya Dev and Rahul Ramakrishna in pivotal parts.

The upcoming venture is set against the backdrop of 1979 and will revolve around the events surrounding SKYLAB, the first United States space station launched by NASA. Vishvak Khanderao has been roped in to direct the film, apart from writing the script and dialogues. Prashanth Vihari has come onboard to compose the music, while Aditya Javvadi will crank the camera. More details are expected to arrive soon.
