Karan Johar Offers A New Film To Janhvi Kapoor & Ishaan Khatter?

Karan Johar launched Janhvi Kapoor with “Dhadak”, which had Ishaan Khatter playing the male lead. The filmmaker has reportedly signed the duo for a romantic film expected to roll towards the end of the year.

Karan Johar is known for working with his actors again and again. After launching Janhvi Kapoor, the daughter of Sridevi and Boney Kapoor with Dhadak (2018), the filmmaker has signed the newcomer for three new projects - Kargil Girl, Takht and Dostana 2 - which are at various stages of development.

Janhvi Kapoor’s debut film also starred another star-kid Ishaan Khatter. The film turned out to be a massive hit with audiences praising the new actors’ terrific chemistry in it. If fresh reports are to be believed, Karan Johar has signed Janhvi and Ishaan again for a new romantic film to be made under the banner of Dharma Productions.

There were speculations about the duo coming together for the Karan Johar produced Dostana 2, but Ishaan Khatter opted out of the project. Now, Karan Johar has reportedly found the right script to casting the two actors together.

Spilling some beans, a source close to the development says,

Ishaan Khatter is known to be quite picky when it comes to script selection. He has been offered several films ever since he made his acting debut with Majid Majidi’s Beyond the Clouds (2018), but still, his filmography includes only two films.

The actor is currently working on the digital adaptation of Vikram Seth’s The Suitable Boy for BBC Studios.
