Janhvi Kapoor Replaces Kiara Advani To Romance Varun Dhawan In “Mr. Lele”

According to fresh reports buzzing in Bollywood, Janhvi Kapoor has bagged yet another film by Dharma Productions. Yes, you heard it absolutely right! Buzz has it that the newcomer has been signed on to play the female lead in filmmaker Shashank Khaitan’s next directorial offering. Tentatively, titled Mr. Lele, the film stars Varun Dhawan as the male lead.

Janhvi Kapoor made her acting debut with Dharma Productions’ Dhadak (2018). The film was a box-office hit and the debutante received great response for her maiden performance. Months after the success of Dhadak, Karan Johar signed Janhvi Kapoor for such films as Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl and Takht. Later, she went on to bag Dharma Productions’ Dostana 2 as well. If reports of her signing Mr. Lele are true, it will be her fifth film with the leading production house. According to reports, Janhvi Kapoor has replaced Kiara Advani in Mr. Lele as the latter could not do it due to her packed date diary.

Meanwhile, Janhvi Kapoor has just wrapped up her second film Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl. The biographical drama also features Angad Bedi and Pankaj Tripathi in important roles. Debutant filmmaker Sharan Sharma is calling the shots, while Benjamin Jasper is cranking the camera. Gunjan Saxena: The Kargil Girl is slated to arrive on 13^th March, 2020.

Her next release will be the much-awaited horror comedy Roohi-Afza. Directed by Hardik Mehta, the film has National Film Award-winning actor Rajkummar Rao opposite Janhvi Kapoor. Produced by Maddock Films and presented by Jio Studios, the film releases on 17^th April, 2020.

On the other hand, Varun Dhawan is gearing up for the release of his forthcoming dance flick Street Dancer 3D alongside Shraddha Kapoor, Nora Fatehi and Prabhudheva. Directed by Remo D’souza, the film is set to enter theatres on January 24, 2020.
