2019 turned out to be a successful year for Hrithik Roshan with the back-to-back box office hits. The actor always manages to give his contemplators a good run for their money. While Super 30 brought him critical acclaim, the action thriller War deserved to be called a smashing hit.

However, the box office collection is an entirely different ballgame. Even though War was a big hit of 2019, it failed to beat Shahid Kapoor, Vicky Kaushal, and Akshay Kumar’s box office record.

Hrithik took to his Twitter handle to share a report about how Akshay Kumar has beaten him on the ticket window. The Bollywood senior seemed to be more than happy for the success of his B-town friends, but gave a savage response on the reports.

The actor tweeted,

For those unversed, this year Akshay has released two films Mission Mangal which hit the screens on 15 August and Housefull 4 on 25 October. According to reports, Akshay’s films collected Rs 542 crore while Hrithik’s films Super 30 and War earned Rs 463 crore.

In Mumbai itself, Vicky Kaushal-starrer Uri: The Surgical Strike and Shahid Kapoor-starrer Kabir Singh raked in Rs 84.11 crore and Rs 87.21 crore respectively. Meanwhile, the collection of Housefull 4 was Rs 79.25 crore, War collected only Rs 77.42 crore.

Recently, Hrithik has topped the annual list of Sexiest Asian Male ranked by Eastern Eye according to the votes from fans, the influence on social media and the wide impact over the years. Not just this, the War star got the twin win as he also scored first on the overall ranking for the last decade.

Talking about this achievement, the actor firstly said thanks to everyone who thinks he is the sexiest Asian male and has voted for him.

However, Hrithik also stressed that he didn’t consider it an “achievement” and he doesn’t judge other people by their look either doesn’t judge himself by the way he looks. The actor further affirmed that what’s attractive in someone is their story, their journey and how they have dealt with situations.
