Deepika Padukone Paid THIS Astounding Amount For Her Brief Role In “83”

Deepika Padukone is the reigning queen of Bollywood, who is known for delivering some back-to-back blockbusters in the past few years. The earth-shattering success of her recent films has catapulted her to the top league and the makers are ready to spend as much money as possible to have her in their films.

Reportedly, Deepika Padukone charges around ₹ 20 - 25 crores for a film. But it looks like that filmmakers are so confident of the fact that her presence in their films would guarantee nothing but success, and hence they have no qualms about paying her almost the same amount for even a brief role.

Yes, you guessed it right! We are talking about Padukone’s role in the upcoming sports drama, 83, which stars her actor husband Ranveer Singh as legendary cricket Kapil Dev. With the film all set to mount the shooting floor in the next couple of days, speculations are rampant about how much the Padmaavat (2018) actress has been paid as her remuneration.

If reports are to be believed, Deepika Padukone is taking home a handsome amount of money for her performance in the Kabir Khan directorial. For the uninitiated, the actress plays Kapil Dev’s wife Romi Dev in the much-awaited movie.

Another source informs that it was the hefty paycheque that persuaded the actress to nod a yes to her brief role in the movie, which is all about the men in blue. He says that Deepika Padukone has taken home a cheque worth ₹ 14 crores.

Meanwhile, Deepika Padukone has just finished her next film, Chhapaak. Directed by well-known filmmaker Meghna Gulzar, the movie features the actress in the role of acid attack survivor, Laxmi Agarwal. The film is set to buzz into theatres on 10^th January 2020.
