Deepika Padukone Finally Opens Up On The Ongoing CAB Protests, Says She Feels Proud

Recently, Deepika Padukone who had kept mum finally joined them to open up on such matters.

The CAB protests have yet to come to an end and the whole nation remains divided over the ongoing acts, the chaos, and the attacks. It continues to be a much-debated topic that is discussed left and right on the Internet. Celebrities like Priyanka Chopra, Kangana Ranaut, Alia Bhatt and many more also went on to raise their voice.

Recently, Deepika Padukone who had kept mum finally joined them to open up on such matters. During an interview, the Chhapaak actress was asked about her opinion towards the youngsters taking to the streets for the protests. Unlike Kangana who earlier expressed her disagreement, Deepika, on the other hand, revealed she’s proud that they didn’t be afraid of expressing themselves. Despite the fact that everyone has their own perspective and many of them are different but at least, it’s nice to see it.

Elaborating further over the same, the Bollywood star added that she feels proud when they are jointly voicing their thoughts, their opinions. She affirmed that it’s a must if we want to see the changes in our life. And in society, sharing our view is really necessary.

Deepika Padukone recently rang in her 34th birthday in Lucknow and the way she celebrated her new age is like no other. The star spent her day at Sheroes Hangout café which is run by acid attack survivors. Other than the victims from nearby neighborhoods themselves, Chhapaak’s director Meghna Gulzar and co-star Vikrant Massey were also seen joining her at the birthday party. Of course, the storyteller Laxmi Agarwal whom Deepika will be essaying in her film also attended her birthday. Not just this, hubby Ranveer Singh surprised her by joining the celebration. No prize for guessing, the actress was too overwhelmed by the sweet gesture of her husband.
