UNRECOGNISABLE! Shahid Kapoor Looks Completely Strange In An Old TV Ad From 1999

Bollywood actor Shahid Kapoor whose latest release blockbuster Kabir Singh has come a long way in nearly two decades of his career. Making his acting debut in Bollywood with film Ishq Vishk (2003), Shahid is now one of a few actors who have a film in the coveted 200-crore club and is riding high on the success.

However, little do we know that even before bagging the film Ishq Vishk, the actor appeared in several movies in the background like a background dancer in 1999 musical Taal starring Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Not only this, but he is also a go-to face of many brands, hence he was no stranger to advertisements.

Recent, an old commercials of Shahid for a detergent brand is doing the rounds on social media. The ad was initially shared on a Doordarshan Facebook fan page. In the video, the teenager Shahid is flaunting his boy-next-door charm.

It would come as surprise because Shahid is seen in a long-hair avatar as he puts on a quirky wig to play a biker brat. The clip showcases him entering his house and his sister-in-law informs the puja taking place in the evening. Shahid then tells her that he has only white kurta but it’s dirty, so he might be not able to attend the puja. However, his ‘Bhabhi’ says she will clean the kurta if he cuts his hair.

In the next scene, we see the Kabir Singh star in short hair and sports a crisp white kurta which leaves all of his neighborhood aunties shocked.

Speaking of his professional life, after 16 years in the Hindi film industry, Shahid finally delivered his solo hit in film Kabir Singh.
