Ranbir Kapoor and Alia Bhatt's love for each other has always been making fans weak in the knees. During a recent award show, the beautiful actress got emotional as she took the stage to present her beau Ranbir Kapoor the Best Actor Awards for his noteworthy performance.
Alia got a little bit choked up when Ranbir dedicated the award to "two very special people" in his life - mother, Neetu Singh and father, Rishi Kapoor, who is currently receiving medical treatments in NYC.
Ranbir shared that his father talked to him about his insecurities when he got back and he wondered whether people would give him films or he could get back to work.
During Ranbir’s acceptance speech, the camera caught Alia Bhatt wiping away her tears. The 26-year-old actress first confirmed her relationship with the Sanju actor on Koffee With Karan season 6 when Karan mentioned their then-rumored romance and she did not really deny it.
While some rumors about Alia and Ranbir's wedding had been making the rounds, her mother Soni Razdan just made it clear. As per reports by IANS, Alia’s mother claimed that she did not want to talk about her daughter’s personal life because she ‘want her to be happy and to live her life the way she wants”. However, she would give her 'a word of caution when it comes to taking life decisions'.
Earlier, Soni Razdan told PTI that she really likes her daughter's boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor.
On the work front, Alia Bhatt and Ranbir Kapoor will be seen sharing the screen space together for the first time in Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra. The film also stars Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni and is slated to release in December, 2019.
Apart from Ayan Mukerji’s Brahmastra, the couple is also working on their own projects. Alia has just signed up for Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Inshallah in which she will play Salman Khan’s love interest. Meanwhile, Ranbir is recently shooting for an untitled film with Shamshera and Sanjay Dutt, which is set to hit the screens in July 2020.
