Mirzapur 2, Made In Heaven 2 and The Family Man 2 are some of the most-awaited web-shows on Amazon Prime Video.

Mirzapur 2, Made In Heaven 2 and The Family Man 2, the second seasons of Amazon Prime Video’s three most popular shows to date, are hugely anticipated by the audience in India and abroad. After the worldwide success of their predecessors, Amazon Prime Video is betting high on the forthcoming second seasons.

Having said that, the latest news that has come to the fore does not bode well for the makers of these high-profile shows. According to reports, Amazon Prime Video has reworked budgets on Mirzapur 2, Made In Heaven 2 and The Family Man 2 because of the economic limitations born out of the ongoing Coronavirus pandemic.

An award-winning entertainment journalist reveals that both Netflix and Amazon Prime Video are cutting budgets on shows commissioned months ago. According to him, Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK have agreed to a revised budget for the second season of their superhit Amazon Prime show, The Family Man, starring Manoj Bajpayee in the lead role.

The Family Man 2 had been already shot before the lockdown came into effect in India. Reportedly, the creators and their crew will take a salary cut, which could mean a smaller profit for them in these testing times.

The same deal has been offered to the makers of Mirzapur 2 as well. Just like The Family Man 2, Mirzapur 2 had also been shot before India went into complete lockdown almost two months ago. The makers have agreed to take pay cuts at the behest of the streaming media giant.

As far as Made In Heaven 2 is concerned, we hear that creators Zoya Akhtar and Reema Kagti are planning to truncate the number of episodes so as not to compromise on the quality of the show. The duo, too, have been asked to cut budgets. Some portions of the second season of Made In Heaven was reportedly supposed to be shot in Italy, but now the makers may go ahead with new locations in India only.
