Comedian Kunal Kamra Heckles Arnab Goswami In Flight, Gets Banned

Kunal Kamra has continued his attack via his social media posts and is receiving huge support on internet.

Comedian Kunal Kamra took to heckling popular news anchor Arnab Goswami onboard IndiGo flight. He later posted the video on his Twitter account leading which Civil Aviation Minister slammed Kamra and ordered Air India and IndiGo to ban him. The reason behind this heckling was dedicated to Rohith Vemula who had committed suicide in 2016. He was an Indian PhD scholar at the University of Hyderabad. From July 2015, the university had stopped paying Rohith his monthly stipend of ₹25,000, with friends alleging that he was targeted for raising issues under the banner of Ambedkar Students' Association.

Arnab Goswami took to a narrative of supporting the ideologies of BJP government and questioned intentions of Rohith Vemula. Goswami is known to promoting BJP led government via his news channel Republic TV. However, his nature of journalistic perception has always been questioned by the audience and critics. Kunal Kamra in the video is seen sarcastically slamming Goswami on the flight. At first, Kamra approached the news anchor for a conversation to which Goswami denied and later the entire video was shot with Kamra's monologue.

Meanwhile, DGCA has also issued a statement claiming that an internal committee will conduct an internal enquiry which will decide further course of action. Kunal Kamra has continued to slam Goswami via his Twitter account and social media posts.
