Suseenthiran received recognition after he made his directorial debut with Tamil film Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu in 2009. Vennila Kabadi Kuzhu was a sports drama which struck the right chord with the audience.

In the following years, Suseenthiran went on to helm such films as Naan Mahaan Alla (2010), Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai (2011), Aadhalal Kadhal Seiveer (2013) and many more. His film Azhagarsamiyin Kudhirai, based on Bhaskar Sakthi's novel, went on receive great critical acclaim. It was also screened at the 2011 Toronto International Festival.

Suseenthiran had three releases last year. And now, according to sources, the director is ready with the script of his next film. He has reportedly roped in actor Vikram Prabhu to play the lead role in his next directorial offering. Prabhu can be currently seen in Vaanam Kottattum (2020), which hit the marquee on 7th February 2020.

According to sources, Suseenthiran is one of the directors who is known to work on multiple film simultaneously and now that all of his previous films, barring Angelina which is in the last stage of its post-production stage, have released, the director is set to start with his next directorial. Reports suggest that he approached Vikram Prabhu with the script and he loved the narration.

The film, which is being produced by his brother Thai Saravanan, is expected to be a family entertainer. It will go on floors by March end. However, an official announcement confirming the development is highly awaited.

Meanwhile, Vikram Prabhu is busy with his upcoming Tamil projects. He is currently shooting for two of his upcoming high-profile films – Asuraguru and Ponniyin Selvan. While action crime thriller Asuraguru is being helmed by A. Raajdheep, Ponniyin Selvan is a Mani Ratnam directorial being shot in Thailand.
