Simmba Makes Rohit Shetty Becomes First Director To Have 8 Consecutive Blockbuster

Rohit Shetty’s film, Simmba is on the upswing as its box office collection has already crossed Rs 139 crore.

Ranveer Singh and Sara Ali Khan’s film, Simmba has earned approximately Rs 14 crore, making its total box office collection of Rs 139 crore, and still shows enormous growth potential. Talking about the blockbuster of Ranveer Singh, box office trade analyst wrote: “#Simmba is a SMASH HIT... Continues to collect in double digits, even after New Year celebrations have ended... This one is not slowing down soon... Fri 20.72 cr, Sat 23.33 cr, Sun 31.06 cr, Mon 21.24 cr, Tue 28.19 cr, Wed 14.49 cr. Total: Rs 139.03 cr. India biz.”

Simmba has become Rohit Shetty’s eighth consecutive film that crossed Rs 100 crore. It also made the director become the first Bollywood director to make this accomplishment. Furthermore, Simmba is also a big step in Ranveer Singh and fledgling actor Sara Ali Khan’s career progress.

In overseas, the film has made up to Rs 50 crore, making its worldwide total to more than Rs 188 crore.

Rumours has been floating that Rohit Shetty is considering making a sequel to Simmba. In the recent The Kapil Sharma show, the director event hinted about the ideas on the talkshow.

On the work front, Ranveer Singh soon will be seen in the silver screen with Alia Bhatt in Gully Boy, which will hit the cinema on valentine day 2019.
