Shahid Kapoor Injured On Jersey's Sets, Getting 13 Stitches

Actor Shahid Kapoor has got injured while working on the sets of the impending movie Jersey. On Friday, while he was on the shooting of a scene at Mohali Stadium, a ball hit him on his mouth.

According to what the makers’ close source revealed to PTI, the actor was playing just fine and doing his rehearsal ahead of the shot when a ball suddenly came hitting his lower lip. It left a wide and open cut where blood began gushing out. Shahid was instantly rushed to treatment as a doctor had arrived to check him out. The doctor sutured stitched in order to close the open wound.

Moreover, a leading daily has reported that Mira Rajput also has dashed to Chandigarh after hearing the news. It was a deep gash so the actor had to get 13 stitches. Anyways, Shahid is surely fine now and there is nothing to worry about.

Because of this incident, the Kabir Singh actor will have to take a break in some of the next days. After his bruised lower lip, particularly the swelling subsides, is healed, he will come back to the filming.

Jersey tells the journey of a talented yet failed cricket player. He made a decision to go back to the field when he is in the late-thirties with the aspiration to be the representative of the Indian cricket team as well as to the wish of his son for a jersey as a present.

The sports-drama’s Hindi version is directed by filmmaker Tinnanauri who was also in charge of the original Telugu movie featuring Nani as the lead actor. Jersey (2020) also stars Pankaj Kapoor and Mrunal Thakur and will hit the screens in August.
