Junior NTR Set To Join Forces With “KGF” Helmer Prashanth Neel

Kannada filmmaker Prashanth Neel, who has become one of the most sought-after directors after the massive success of his last film KGF, is rumoured to be joining hands with Telugu superstar Junior NTR.

Junior NTR, who was last seen in Telugu action entertainer Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava (2018), is presently busy shooting for renowned filmmaker S.S. Rajamouli’s next RRR after the earth-shattering success of Baahubali: The Beginning (2015) and Baahubali: The Conclusion (2017).

Beside Junior NTR, the period drama also features Ram Charan in the lead role, while Bollywood stars Alia Bhatt and Ajay Devgn appear in special extended cameos.

The latest we hear that Junior NTR has given his nod to a new film which he will start working on after wrapping RRR. According to reports, the forthcoming venture will be bankrolled under the banner of Mythri Movie Makers. The makers have reportedly signed on filmmaker Prashanth Neel to wield the megaphone.

For the uninitiated, Prashanth Neel is a Kannada filmmaker who shot to fame after his debut film Ugaramm (2014) emerged as a blockbuster at the box-office. He consolidated his position further after delivering a massive hit like KGF (2018), starring Kannada star Yash in the lead role. Currently, the filmmaker is working on the second installment of KGF which may hit screens next year.

When Prashanth Neel approached Junior NTR with the script of his next film, which he plans to roll in Telugu, NTR quite liked it and said yes to star in the movie. Besides the script, his competent direction in KGF was another reason for Junior NTR to show his faith in Prashanth.

One among the partners of Mythri Movie Makers, Naveen Yerneni confirmed the development. He added that the film will start rolling in the second half of 2020 as NTR is presently busy with RRR and Neel is helming KGF: Chapter 2. More details are awaited to arrive soon.
