Confirmed: Hot Pooja Hegde To Feature In Varun Tej-Starrer “Valmiki”

Pooja Hegde is currently riding high on the colossal success of her latest release Maharshi (2019). Before the release of the movie, the beautiful actress was set to be playing an important part in director Harish Shankar’s forthcoming directorial venture, Valmiki. The project was announced earlier this year.

However, a couple of weeks ago, her fans were in for a shock when reports emerged that the talented actress opted out of the big-ticket project.

Though neither Pooja Hegde nor Harish Shankar commented on reports, some sources revealed that the actress bid adieu to the movie as she was not happy with her remuneration and the director's tweet about the same.

Some sources even went on to claim that Pooja Hegde was demanding a remuneration as huge as ₹ 2 crores for her limited role in the gangster-comedy. Some fans were really disappointed when they heard that the actress quit the film because of money.

However, Harish Shankar recently came forward to clear the rumors. He said that the news regarding the actress’ remuneration was false.

Well, if there is no truth to the stories of Pooja Hegde leaving the film over monetary issues, we can assume that the actress is still very much a part of Valmiki.

What makes this news almost confirmed is the tweet which Harish Shankar shared on his Twitter handle.

He tagged Varun Tej, Atharvaa Murali, DOP Ayanaka Bose and Pooja Hegde in the tweet. The tweet makes it clear that Pooja Hedge is indeed a part of the upcoming Telugu film. She will be seen in the role of Lakshmi Menon in the movie, which is an official remake of Tamil super-hit Jigarthanda (2014).

Varun Tej plays a gangster in the movie, while Tamil actor Atharvaa Murali will also be seen in a crucial role.

Meanwhile, Pooja Hedge, who made her Bollywood debut with Ashutosh Gowariker’s Mohenjo Daro (2016), will next be seen in the multi-starrer Hindi film, Housefull 4.

Also starring Akshay Kumar, Bobby Deol, Riteish Deshmukh, Kriti Kharbanda and Kriti Kulhari, the comic-caper is set to enter theatres on Diwali 2019.
