Anushka Shetty Plays Warrior Queen Laxmi Bai In “Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy”

Anushka Shetty was last seen in horror film Bhaagamathie (2018) which hit the silver screen on 26^th January, 2018. It has been more than a year now since the actress’ diehard fans have not seen her in any Telugu offering and hence, they are desperately waiting for her upcoming releases.

Recently, it was revealed that Anushka Shetty would play an important cameo in actor-producer Ram Charan’s ambitious production venture, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. However, the makers remained tight-lipped about the character that the award-winning actress was offered in the movie.

Now that Anushka Shetty has completed shooting for her portions in the historical war drama, some important details about her character in the film have emerged in media. According to fresh reports, the actress plays revered warrior queen of Jhansi, Laxmi Bai, in Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy. Rani Laxmi Bai was one of the principal leaders of the Indian Rebellion of 1857.

Produced by Ram Charan on a hefty budget, Sye Raa Narasimha Reddy is a multi-starrer historical war drama. The film stars Chiranjeevi, Amitabh Bachchan, Vijay Sethupathi, Jagapathi Babu, Nayanthara, Tamannaah and Sudeep on its ensemble cast. Currently, in its last leg of production, the period drama is scheduled for its theatrical release on 2^nd October 2019.

Meanwhile, Anushka Shetty is presently in Seattle where she is shooting for her first-ever crossover movie, Nishabdam. Helmed by filmmaker Hemant Madhukar, the film also stars R. Madhavan, Shalini Pandey, and Anjali in principal roles. The actress is also doing a bilingual film called Silence.
