Ariana Grande and Kylie Jenner, two of the most followed celebrities on Instagram, lost a considerable number of Instagram followers suddenly last night.

The Thank u, next singer, who had more than 145m followers, dropped unexpectedly to 142 million.

Meanwhile, Kylie Jenner, who had nearly 127 million, decreased to 124 million.

However, it was not the case of not only these two but other influencers. James Charles also witnessed a significant reduction in followers.

It might not be a big deal with Ariana and Kylie when losing a few million Instagram followers, though it’s hands down a huge matter for many influencers who make a living from those followers on social media.

Instagram took to Twitter to give an explanation,
