Sanjay Leela Bhansali started composing for his movies with his 2010 romantic film Guzaarish, starring Hrithik Roshan and Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. People love his compositions, and the filmmaker has won numerous awards for his soulful music over the years.

Sanjay Leela Bhansali is presently busy with the pre-production of his two upcoming films – Gangubai Kathiawadi and Baiju Bawra. Buzz has it that the filmmaker will shoot both the movies simultaneously. During a recent interaction with media, he that said composing music for Baiju Bawra is the biggest challenge of his career. According to reports, the filmmaker is planning to introduce a new voice with Baiju Bawra. In the original film, singing great Mohammad Rafi had lent his voice and impressed everyone with his powerful songs as "O Duniya Ke Rakhwale" and "Man Tadpat Hari Darshan Ko Aaj”. Hindustani classical singers Ustad Amir Khan and DV Paluskar were also part of the male playback team.

For the female vocals, Bhansali admits that it is virtually impossible to replicate legendary singer Lata Mangeshkar. "Who can sound as pristine and sublime as Lataji did in “Mohe Bhool Gaye Saawariya” and “Bachpan Ki Mohabbat” in the earlier Baiju Bawra? There can never be another singer like Lataji. But I will continue to look for echoes of her voice in all the female singers I work with," says Bhansali in conclusion. The well-known filmmaker is yet to lock the final cast of the forthcoming venture.
