Varun Dhawan To Reteam With Brother Rohit Dhawan For "Dishoom 2"

Varun Dhawan is reportedly reuniting with his filmmaker brother Rohit Dhawan to roll out a sequel to their 2016 hit "Dishoom 2".

Varun Dhawan, who was last seen in Dharma Productions' period drama Kalank (2019) alongside Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and Aditya Roy Kapur, has a number of exciting projects in the pipeline. And if fresh reports are to be believed, the rising star of Bollywood has added one more interesting project to the slate of his forthcoming movies.

Yes, you heard it absolutely right! Buzz has it that Varun Dhawan is reuniting with his director brother Rohit Dhawan after their 2016 hit Dishoom. The two have joined forces with each other to roll out a sequel to Dishoom

Dishoom, produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment, featured Varun Dhawan, John Abraham and Jacqueline Fernandez in lead characters, who were assigned a task to find a successful cricketer Viraj Sharma (Saqib Saleem) who gets kidnapped 48 hours before a crucial match.

Though nothing much is known about the storyline of the sequel at the moment, sources reveal that it will be an espionage thriller wherein Varun Dhawan’s character will be given a difficult task to carry out. Rohit Dhawan will begin recee sometime next year. If all goes well, Dishoom 2 will hit the shooting floor by the end of 2020. The makers are planning to shoot the movie in India and abroad.

Meanwhile, Varun Dhawan is presently busy promoting his much-awaited film Street Dancer 3D. Co-starring Shraddha Kapoor and Prabhu Deva, the dance flick is scheduled to enter theatres on 24th January, 2020. After Street Dancer 3D, the handsome star will be seen in father David Dhawan's hugely anticipated Coolie No. 1. Also starring newcomer Sara Ali Khan in the lead role, Coolie No. 1 is an official remake of the 1995 Govinda and Karisma Kapoor starrer of the same name. He is also doing Sriram Raghavan's Arun Khetarpal biopic.
