"Sacred Games 2" Review: Cliched Climax Makes Audience Wait For Next Season

Though the "Sacred Games 2" is complex and shuffles between past and present, acting and direction have been ticked at its best.

Sacred Games 2 released amidst huge expectations from the audience, performances from the stars in the eight episodes web series has been appreciated.

Sacred Games Season 2

The exceptional role played by Kalki Koechlin (Batya Abelman) as Guruji's (Pankaj Tripathi) disciple. Sacred Games 2 left its audience to wait for another season with a cliched climax. The ending of the web series could have been much better.

Saif Ali Khan (Sartaj Singh) has maintained his humble persona in his mixed and complication personal life of realization. Nawazuddin Siddiqui (Ganesh Gaitonde) struggles to catch up his past life and the narration shuffles from past to present in a bid to save Mumbai.

Sacred Games 2 Dialogues

Ranvir Shorey (Shahid Khan) is portraying the role of an extremist but much has not been shown about his character in the web series. Anupriya Goenka (Megha) plays Sartaj Singh's ex-wife and has got good screen time as compared to her appearance in the previous season.

In the eight episodes, Ganesh Gaitonde is working on the behest of intelligence agency RAW. The RAW officer Kusum Yadav (Amruta Subhash) infiltrates Gaitonde into a drug den to eliminate enemies in Kenya. On the other hand, Isa Bhai (Saurabh Sachdeva) is settled in Dubai and handles illegal businesses. He manages to transport nuclear materials to transform it into a bomb to Mumbai.

Sacred Games

Luke Kenny (Malcolm) has performed tremendously in different avatars, his role as a disciple of Guruji is his career-best. Surveen Chawla (JoJo) awakens the crush of her fans they had during her initial days. Her motto is to kill herself after she betrays her sister Mary (Harshita Gaur). Elnaaz Norouzi (Zoya Mirza) looks elegant in her role but fails to impress the audience by her acting skills.

Sacred Games 4

But one thing is for sure, Sacred Games 2 has more abuses as compared to the previous season. Dialogue delivery and punchlines are perfect.
