Many of us are having a habit of sleeping with wet hair, this is a big mistake. In fact, sleeping with damp or wet hair can be the culprit of many ailments.

A long working day makes you exhausted, all you’d like to do is take a warm shower and go straight to your bedroom regardless of wet hair. Before doing that, take a second to think about the consequences of keeping wet hairs to sleep.

Many people often consider sleeping on wet hair as the cause of having a cold. On the other hand, it’s true that your body gets colder due to wet hair, the blood vessels in your nose and throat constrict, which creates the condition for some virus to get through your immune. As a result, you will be much more susceptible to the virus.

Besides that, cold weather can increase your risk of some diseases such as heart problems and hypothermia.

When we sleep on a pillowcase, and the hair is still wet, it will become a common place for bacteria to set up home. Therefore, it may lead to infections.

When your scalp is itchy, try to avoid scratching. It’s best for you to apply some argan oil to cleanse skin, soothe irritation and restore elasticity.

Above all, changing your bad habit of sleeping with wet hair remains first and foremost method to protect hair health.
