Burberry Apologizes For Featuring Hoodie With Noose At London Fashion Week

Burberry is stirring a controversy around sweatshirt after it appeared on the runway of London Fashion Week.

Fashion brand Burberry has apologized for showcasing a hoodie that featured a noose around the neck during its show at London Fashion Week. It is a new design from Riccardo Tisci with a nautical-themed fall/ winter at 2019 runway show.

The brand announced it had removed the item from its collection, after criticism from model Liz Kennedy, who featured in the show but claimed her concerns about the use of a noose, led to an online backlash. She shared a lengthy post on her Instagram handle and called it out:
