Most-Liked Instagram Post: Kylie Jenner Dethroned By An Egg Photo?

The power of the egg is much stronger than one of the top richest celebrity in the world.

Believe it or not, a small humble chicken egg has dominated Instagram as becoming the most-liked post of all time, breaking reality star Kylie Jenner's record in the process.

The image posted by world_record_egg account just simply displayed a single egg on a plain white background. Unbelievably, it has surpassed more than 44 million likes since being uploaded on January 4. The user's purpose solely beats Jenner in terms of most-liked Instagram post.

"Let's set a world record together and get the most liked post on Instagram. Beating the current world record held by Kylie Jenner (18 million)! We got this", the captioned read.

Jenner's birth announcement of daughter Stormi Webster from February 2018 had previously been the title holder with 18 million likes on the service.
In response to the win, account user took to Instagram and said, "This is madness. What a Time to be alive," and sent thank to netizen's support.
Meanwhile, Jenner responded by posting a funny video of her cracking an egg and trying to fry it on hot concrete. "Take that little egg," she said.
The power of social media should not underestimate. This is not the first time a joke account or simple post amassed a huge number of followers or likes on the service. Previously, Half an Onion racked up 635,000 followers, which overtook the popularity of Donald Trump’s account. And a US teen successfully dethroned Ellen DeGeneres for the world record of the most retweeted tweet after he asked Wendy’s Twitter account how many retweets he would need for a free year’s supply of chicken nuggets. Amazingly, he achieved 3.5 million retweets.
