Miley Cyrus Has Officially Taken Liam Hemsworth's Last Name And Here Is The Story Behind It

Pop star Miley Cyrus has officially taken Liam Hemsworth's last name and this news was revealed by her husband, Liam. Isn't It Romantic? star just dropped this news when he made an appearance on the talk show Live With Ryan And Kelly this Friday morning. When Ryan and Kelly congratulated him on his marriage to Miley Cyrus, Liam revealed that her last name was changed by politely correcting them.

He said, “Miley Ray Hemsworth now, actually”. Liam added that this was Miley’s idea as saying, “She will still be obviously known as Miley Cyrus, but she took my name, which is great. That was honestly one of the best things about it. I did not ask her to take my name, but she was like, 'No, of course I am taking your name’, I’m like, ‘That’s awesome. That’s really good. Thank you.’"

Recently, when taking the stage to receive an award, Liam Hemsworth also shared that it is still difficult for him to remember to call Miley his wife rather than his girlfriend. Liam said, “The first couple of weeks was really foreign to me, with 'wife' and 'husband”. Liam further said that to remember, he just had her in as 'Wife' in his phone now.

Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth made everyone shocked as the lovebirds got married on 23^rd December in a super low-key ceremony at their Tennessee home. Later, the two took to their social networking to tell the world about their wedding and posted some pictures from their wedding ceremony.

For those who do not know, Liam Hemsworth and Miley Cyrus had a long-term relationship, which was on and off. They first met on the set of The Last Song in 2009 in which they portrayed teen lovers and got closer after the film.  The couple got engaged in 2012 but shortly after they broke up. In 2016, they got back together and rekindled their romance.
