Legendary Designer, Chanel Creative Diretor Karl Lagerfeld Died At 85

The world lost a legend today, Karl Lagerfeld passed away after a long time of illness.

One of the most influential fashion designer, Chanel creative director Karl Lagerfeld left for the heavenly abode at the age of 85. He admitted to American Hospital, Paris on Monday followed a period of poor health. Chanel then confirmed the broken-heart news on their official social media account.

Million hearts were broken as the fashion industry lost a legend. Earlier this year, the designer missed two Chanel’s Haute Couture show for Spring and Summer 2019, which never happened before. Explaining his absence only was “feeling tired”. The full statement read: "Mr Lagerfeld, artistic director of Chanel, who was feeling tired, asked Virginie Viard, director of the creative studio of the house, to represent him. We wish Mr Lagerfeld to recover quickly.”

Reportedly, he faced health problem for the last few weeks before he passed away and it’s also the first time throughout his life that he missed his iconic catwalk bow since he became Chanel’s creative director in 1983.

With exceptional and God-given talent, Karl Lagerfeld first stepped into the fashion industry in 1955 and made his name known all around the world.
