MCU Veteran Drops A Hint Captain America Could Be Black, Or A Woman

Marvel Cinematic Universe veteran Frank Grillo believes Chris Evans’ Captain America replacement could be black or a woman.

Marvel actor Frank Grillo is known for his role as Crossbones in Captain America: The Winter Soldier and Civil War.  His retirement from the role of Captain has led to a matter for speculation - Who will replace him?

 

During an interview with Larry King Now, Mr. Crossbones himself commented on the rumors that Evans will leave the role of Captain America for good and Marvel is looking to diversify in their future casting choice.

When it comes to who will take over as Captain America, Frank Grillo frankly said “I don’t know”. However, he hinted that there were rumors that “the next Captain America could be African-American or a woman”.

Obviously, there are two potential candidates to play the role of Captain America, Anthony Mackie’s Falcon and Sebastian Stan’s Bucky.

His statement reflects on what Kevin Feige, Marvel president revealed that Marvel studio is moving toward seeking people from all walks of life to look at the screens and see themselves reflected.

Fans can expect to see more characters from a spectrum of backgrounds. Feige said that there would be more LGBTQ, addition to Tessa Thompson’s Valkyrie. The producer also expressed his excitement by adding that it would be amazing to see all of our female characters.

Brand new heroes, new types of heroes will show up in Marvel films.

In an emotional post, Chris Evan bid his final goodbye to his character ‘Captain America’. He wrote a message to his fans, saying that he honorably took on Captain America for eight years.
