Salman Khan & Aanand L Rai Set To Join Hands?

Salman Khan is keeping quite busy these days. On one hand, he is shooting for his hugely anticipated Eid 2020 release Radhe: Your Most Wanted Bhai. On the other hand, he is also devoting some time to the promotions of his much-awaited movie Dabangg 3, which is slated to buzz into theatres worldwide on 20^th December.

We also hear that a number of filmmakers are in queue to finalize a project with Salman Khan as the actor has not signed any new film besides the aforementioned projects. One of them is renowned filmmaker Aanand L Rai who last helmed Zero (2018) with Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma.

Spilling some beans, a source in the know lets on, “Salman’s last release was Bharat (2019) which was co-funded by Bhushan Kumar, with whom he has a decent past. Though they have had their differences over certain projects, Bhushan is now collaborating with Aanand for all his films, and he too is a part of the next project where they are trying to get Salman to play the lead. Bhushan already has around 13 film releases this year and has a bagful later. Aanand and Salman share a good bond, but Salman is only keen to do films the idea of which he understands without being cajoled into doing it. If it takes a long time to discuss the project, Salman moves away. So Aanand and Bhushan need to make their move quickly.”

Aanand L Rai is presently co-producing a film with Shah Rukh Khan, starring Katrina Kaif in the lead role. Buzz has it that the upcoming film is an official remake of the 2019 South Korean comic-caper Miss & Mrs. Cops. Since it will be a two-heroine project, the makers are reportedly in talks with actress Vidya Balan to play the parallel lead in the yet to be titled film. More details are expected to arrive soon.
