Rumours are rife in Bollywood corridors that after finishing his ongoing projects, superstar Salman Khan will team up with filmmaker Rohit Shetty for a cop-drama. The film will be a part of Shetty’s successful cop-universe.

Salman Khan has his hands full with several high-profile projects. If all of them materialize, the superstar will have no dates available for any new film at least till 2021. But his tight schedule is not stopping the Dabangg (2010) star from reading new scripts at all.

Earlier, Salman Khan and filmmaker Rohit Shetty were all set to clash with each other’s films on Eid 2020. However, on Wednesday, Khan announced that now their respective movies Inshallah and Sooryavanshi will not lock horns with each other.

Rohit Shetty has decided to prepone his Akshay Kumar starrer Sooryavanshi to 27th March, 2020, while Bhaijaan, as obvious, will come on Eid.

“I always thought of him as my younger brother and today he proves it...Rohit Shetty. Sooryavanshi releasing on 27th March 2020,” Salman Khan announced the new release date of Rohit Shetty’s Sooryavanshi on social media.

Now, the shift in the release date of Sooryavanshi and growing fondness between Salman Khan and Rohit Shetty has fuelled speculations that the duo might be planning to collaborate on a film soon.

Rumors are rife that Khan could be the newest entrant in Shetty’s popular cop-universe after Ajay Devgn (Singham), Ranveer Singh (Simmba) and Akshay Kumar (Sooryavanshi).

In his recent interaction with media, Salman Khan had confirmed that he is in talks with Rohit Shetty for a film. The actor was also quoted as saying that he had suggested a film on Singham-Dabangg crossover to Shetty.

Reports were also doing the rounds that the filmmaker may call the shots for Khan’s action entertainer Kick 2. However, Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment termed all reports baseless.

Meanwhile, Salman Khan is presently riding on the thunderous success of his latest film Bharat. The film has racked up some mind-boggling numbers at the box-office and is set to become one of the biggest blockbusters of Khan’s career. The actor will next be seen in Dabangg 3. The last schedule of the film is expected to begin soon.

The Prabhudeva directorial is slated to hit the marquee on 20th December 2020.
