Ileana D'Cruz always looks forward to the Easter celebration every year but this year's festival seems to be very special for the actress.

Easter is always welcomed every year in the eagerness of everyone including Bollywood actress Ileana D'Cruz. She always joins the other members of her family to celebrate the festival. Nonetheless, she and other people cannot imagine the celebration of this year when India is now on the coronavirus lockdown across the country.

As the Indians are staying to prevent the spread of the pandemic, people are welcoming Easter through video calls. Talking with a leading daily, Ileana recalls her memories of the festival from the previous times and describes the celebration today. The actress shared:

"I remember my mother making all sorts of lovely Easter eggs, like the chocolate and marzipan ones. When we were kids, she would also get little baskets and have us decorate them. My sisters and I would pain them and put little yellow chicks (of course, fake ones) in them, along with the eggs."

Currently, Ileana's parents are self-quarantining in Goa whereas her sisters are kept back in the US. On sharing this, she expressed how much she wanted to experience Easter crazily with her family. The actress desired to enjoy the astonishing smell from the kitchen where her mother prepares meals. She said:

"If I was home right now, I would be inhaling the aromas of the freshly baked hot cross buns. I would have my sisters for company and we would be chatting away or bickering about something or the other. Being away from family means I don't really celebrate the day."

Keeping sharing, Ileana stated that the celebration this year would only be on video calls. But she still stayed positive that at least, the technology can connect everyone together even when we are not in the same place. She suggested that we should be grateful for being able to stay safe at home during the lockdown.

Have a look at Easter Day on Sunday, April 12, 2020.
