The demise of legendary actress Sridevi left the whole industry shocked. Fans of the superstar, needless to say, were mourning her sudden death. She passed away on 28 February 2020 and recently her daughter Janhvi Kapoor and husband Boney Kapoor arranged Sridevi’s prayer meet which took place in Chennai.
According to reports, the father-daughter duo flew to Chennai last night and South Indian film star Thala Ajith was also reportedly present at the prayer meet. Some photos from the meet are currently making the rounds on social media. The pictures show Boney Kapoor donning an all-white ensemble including kurta and pajama. Janhvi also opted for a traditional South Indian entire.

On the occasion of Sridevi’s second death anniversary, Janhvi Kapoor recently took to her Instagram handle to share a black and white throwback picture of herself with her and captioned, “Miss you every day.”

As mentioned above, Sridevi’s sudden demise turned out to be a big shock to the industry. Two months post her funeral, the late actress was awarded the prestigious Best Actress National Award. The trophy was then collected by her family Boney Kapoor, Janhvi Kapoor, and Khushi Kapoor. Speaking of her journey in the entertainment industry, she was a part of several super hit films like Lamhe, Judaai, Chandni, Chaalbaaz and many more. It’s not an overstatement to say she was a silver screen icon of the South Indian film industry. The late actress made her Bollywood comeback in film English Vinglish and the last time we saw her on the big screen was in the film Mom which released in 2017.
