While the news is spreading all over the Internet, the company hasn’t had any official message on it yet. Days after the shocking news, Vikramaditya Motwane, co-founder of the company has spoken up on the emerging issue.

According to the filmmaker, it was not until March 2017, 2 years after the accident, that he heard about it. It was Madhu Mantena and Anurag Kashyap, other co-founders of the company who informed him about what happened between Vikas Bahl and the girl. Three of them sat down with the girl and were frightened by the truth.

How Did It Happen

It was a night in October 2015 that Bahl got into her room. He pretended to be drunk intentionally then lied on her bed. Vikas tried to get on her body while the victim resisted desperately. That night incident left the girl shocked and depressed as she was unable to tell anyone about it. Finally, she decided to divulge the truth to Anurag Kashyap but he did nothing on it. Fortunately, Vikramaditya Motwane heard about it somehow and decided not to let it go.

Tweeting on the internet, the director said that he took action right when he heard about it. They froze Vikas out of the business and filmmaking. They also took his rights in the company away while the director was being in his rehabilitation. Both Vikas and the girl agreed with the solutions even when he did remember clearly what he did that night. Anurag and Kashyap’s girlfriend, Shubhra Due persuaded the victim to prosecute the matter but the victim and her boyfriend denied due to their privacy. Her boyfriend did want to publish her name.  However, they hoped that Vikas would have to pay at another price.
