Vicky Kaushal's Uri Rejects To Slow Down, Receives Praises From Vice President, And Joins 2-billion-rupee Club

Recently, the country’s Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu has watched Uri: The Surgical Strike and showered it with praises.

The josh around Uri: The Surgical Strike starring Vicky Kaushal rejects to slow down. The war drama not only emerges as a victory in the box office battle but also receives lots of praises from prominent personalities such as Prime Minister of India Narendra Modi, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman and Union Minister Jitendra Singh. Recently, the country’s Vice President, Venkaiah Naidu, has watched the film and showered it with praises too.

One special screening of Uri: Surgical Strike took place on Tuesday in the presence of the Vice President together with Indo-Tibetan Border Police Personnel.

Sharing one photo along with one message on his Twitter account, Vice President Venkaiah Naidu expressed that he was glad to watch Uri and called the movie an inspiring film. He wrote,

In the meantime, Uri has just joined the 2-billion-rupee club in global collections. Bollywood Life reported that the movie has earned about 2,23 billion rupees worldwide. The film is expected to reach 2,5 billion rupees by the end of its fourth weekend at the global markets. It seems that this war drama still continues to impress the audiences in spite of the new release of Thackery and Manikarnika: The Queen of Jhansi.

Directed by debutant Aditya Dhar, Uri: The Surgical Strike is based on the surgical strike carried out by the Indian army on Pakistan in 2016 after Uri Base Camp in Kashmir and Jammu was attacked. It also features Paresh Rawal, Yami Gautam, Kirti Kulhari and Mohit Raina in the pivotal roles. Swaroop Sampat, the famous TV actress of 1980s also makes a special appearance in the movie. Uri: The Surgical Strike is a defining moment in the military history of India, which paved the way to the new and stronger India.
