Vicky Kaushal To Undergo Extensive Training For Film On Sam Manekshaw

Vicky Kaushal will next be seen in Dharma Productions’ much-awaited horror-film Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship. It also features Bhumi Pednekar in the lead role.

Vicky Kaushal was last seen onscreen in megahit Uri: The Surgical Strike which released exactly a year ago in January, 2020. The actor has been continuously shooting for his upcoming films ever since. One of his forthcoming projects also includes Meghna Gulzar’s biographical film on war hero Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw. The first-look of the film, featuring Vicky Kaushal as Sam Manekshaw, was unveiled a couple of months ago, which went viral on social media.

Ever since the first-look of the upcoming Meghna Gulzar directorial came out and created a lot of buzz, there has been curiosity about the film. All Vicky Kaushal fans are eagerly waiting to see the rising Bollywood star in the role of Field Marshal Sam Manekshaw with bated breath.

However, a source close to the project tells a popular publication that Vicky needs extensive preparations to get into the skin of the character. The movie will begin production only when the actor is wholly prepared to play the challenging role.

According to the source, the actor will have to undergo a lot of training procedures before the team starts rolling the camera for the film. Filmmaker Meghna Gulzar, who is currently busy promoting her upcoming directorial Chhapaak with Deepika Padukone, is a taskmaster and Vicky Kaushal is looking at starting the prep work at the earliest. The actor will begin his work for the film by mid-2020. The forthcoming film has been written by Bhavani Iyer, who also wrote Raazi (2018) for Meghna Gulzar, and Shantanu Srivastava of Badhaai Ho fame.

Meanwhile, Vicky Kaushal is awaiting the release of his next film Bhoot Part 1: The Haunted Ship. Produced by Dharma Productions’ the horror-film is scheduled to release on 21st February, 2020. His forthcoming projects also include Shoojit Sircar’s Udham Singh and Karan Johar’s Takht.
