Apart from her shooting time, she loves spending time with her small yet happy family - her little munchkin Aaradhya Bachchan and her husband, Abhishek Bachchan. It was reported that her next movie Gulab Jamun would reunite her with husband Abhishek Bachchan for the first time since Raavan. However, recent reports suggest that the couple has dropped out of the film.

Aishwarya Rai Bachchan also reportedly turned down a supporting role in the 2004 historical epic, Troy, because she was uncomfortable shooting intimate scenes with Hollywood star Brad Pitt.
