Urvashi Rautela was last seen in the Anees Bazmee-directed multi-starrer comic-caper “Pagalpanti”. The movie did not fare well at the ticket counter.

Urvashi Rautela was last seen in the Anees Bazmee-directed comic-caper Pagalpanti (2019). Besides her, the movie had John Abraham, Ileana D’Cruz, Arshad Warsi, Pulkit Samrat, Kriti Kharbanda and Anil Kapoor in important roles. Despite the presence of such popular actors, the film failed to create any spark at the box-office and fell flat.

Urvashi Rautela is now looking forward to the release of her next film called Virgin Bhanupriya. The actress plays the title role in the film, directed by Ajay Lohan and produced by Shreyans Mahendra Dhariwal under banner Dhariwal Films. Hanwant Khatri and Lalit Kiri are associated with the film as presenters.

Vergin Bhanupriya tells the tale of an Indian college going conservative girl who decides to lose her virginity. She thinks it should be the easiest thing in today’s world. However, all her attempts yield no result as a fortuneteller predicts that it is an impossible task that will not happen ever in her life. What happens after that and whether she succeeds in her mission or not forms the crux of the story.

Though the title of the film might sound a bit risqué, Virgin Bhanupriya is a family entertainer which explores the relationship between youngsters and their families. In addition to Urvashi Rautela, the movie also has Gautam Gulati, Archana Puran Singh, Delnaz Irani, Rajiv Gupta and Brijendra Kala on its cast.

Spilling some beans on her character in the film, Urvashi Rautela says that she plays a girl who is seeking companionship but fails every time she tries to work on being in a relationship. Though the film is hilarious, it is not slapstick. She said that she loved the way it tells an important story in an entertaining way.

Virgin Bhanupriya is scheduled to roll into theatres on 12th June, 2020.
