“Drive”, which pairs up Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez for the first time ever, started rolling in 2017. It was set to enter theatres in September 2018 but has been postponed more than thrice since then.

Topline by Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez, Dharma Productions’ much-delayed film Drive has been postponed yet again. After missing its release on multiple occasions in the past one year, the movie was finally set to enter theatres on 28th June, but the latest update on the project is that the action entertainer is not going to hit screens before the year-end.

Produced by Karan Johar, Drive is helmed by Tarun Mansukhani, who is best known for his directorial debut Dostana (2008), starring Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan in prominent roles. The film brought the debate about homosexuality in our drawing rooms.

Mansukhani has been working on Drive for quite a long time now. The Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer was complete in 2017 only, but then reports emerged that producer Karan Johar was not happy with the way the movie had shaped up and hence, he sent it for a reshoot.

Since the team had to reshoot a large chunk of the film, it could not meet the deadline and its initial release around Holi 2018 was missed. Then the film was set to release on 7th September 2018, but it was postponed yet again. The makers pushed it to 28th June 2019. However, from what we hear, the Sushant Singh Rajput and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer is facing another delay.
