Sonam Kapoor was most recently seen in Abhishek Sharma’s “The Zoya Factor” which failed to draw audiences to theatres. The actress will next star in her much-awaited home production “The Battle Of Bittora”.

Sonam Kapoor was most recently seen in The Zoya Factor, directed by Abhishek Sharma. Also starring Malayalam cinema’s heartthrob Dulquer Salmaan in the lead role, the movie failed to attract audiences to theatres and tanked at the box-office without a trace. The film was based on author Anuja Chauhan’s popular novel of the same now.

Keeping the failure of her last release aside, Sonam Kapoor will next be seen in her home production The Battle of Bittora which will be produced by her sister Rhea Kapoor. Interestingly, just like The Zoya Factor, The Battle of Bittora is also based on Anuja Chauhan’s another novel of the same name. The two sisters are now wondering whom to cast for their upcoming offering.

The much-delayed film was initially planned with Sonam Kapoor and Pakistani actor Fawad Khan. It was supposed to happen right after their film Khoobsurat (2014). However, due to escalated tension between India and Pakistan at the borders, Fawad had to nip his career in Bollywood in the bud, and the film was put on hold.

While Sonam Kapoor shared the screen space with Dulquer Salmaan in The Zoya Factor, she felt that he would fit the bill. But with the film receiving cold response from the audience, the sisters are now looking at roping in a new actor for the movies.

A source close to the development reveals that to a publication. Looks like the Neerja (2016) actress is going to face a tough time in casting the male lead in her next.
