Shah Rukh Khan's co-star in Zero, Zeeshan Ayyub, voices his support for the movie

The movie Zero features the actor Shah Rukh Khan in the lead role officially hit the cinemas on December 21.

However, right after the movie’s release, it has received many severe criticisms. Only a small number of the audience gives praise to the film whilst others consider it a disappointment.

Conversely, a lot of individuals working in the entertainment industry deliver entirely different remarks. In their eyes, Zero is genuinely a cinematic masterpiece. Therefore, many Bollywood artists have voiced their support and protection for the film such as the director Karan Johar, the actress Swara Bhaskar, and the cricketer Virat Kohli.

And now, Shah Rukh Khan’s co-star in Zero, the actor Zeeshan Ayyub stands up for the movie’s reputation before the negative comments on it. In Zero, Shah Rukh is the male lead while Zeeshan plays the role of his best friend.

Giving an interview with IANS, Zeeshan raises his voice in defence of the director Aanand L Rai. He states that Aanand desires to get the experience of “different space and milieu.“ “We have become ruthless and sometimes hypocrites,” says he.

Additionally, he states that he has repeated one similar type of roles considered as “a tag of being the hero’s friend.” Therefore, in his opinions, if others have experimented with something new, why don't we follow their examples.

In addition, the actor acknowledges that Zero is not an excellent movie. Also, he agrees the viewers have their rights to comment and criticize every movie after spending money and time on it. In his opinions, everyone knows its shortcomings; however, it gets mixed reactions. A lot of people still genuinely demonstrate their love for Zero. On the contrary, many can't watch the whole movie.
