Shah Rukh Khan To Officially Star In Astronaut Biopic, Female Lead Is Also Finalized

It is official that Shah Rukh Khan will be playing in the Rakesh Sharma biopic and Fatima Sana Shaikh is said to be the female lead.

Reports have been rife that actor Shah Rukh Khan will be shaking a leg in the Rakesh Sharma biopic which is temporarily titled as Salute. It was previously rumored that he dropped out of the project because he was not dotty about getting into any new project.

Earlier, the movie was supposed to feature Aamir Khan. However, it was later passed on to Shah Rukh. Soon after the actor backed out, rumor had it that the actor to hold the nominal role would be Vicky Kaushal.

Now, according to The Times of India reports, Shah Rukh Khan is officially a part of Salute and also, the leading female has been finalized. It was revealed by the portal that the 27-year-old actress Fatima Sana Shaikh would be seen acting alongside SRK in the movie. Supposing that the reports are true, that will truly be a big joy for Fatima because she has always asserted to be a huge fan of King Khan.

For those who have not known, Rakesh Sharma, who will be portrayed in the biopic, is the very first Indian to fly into space.

Previously in 2018, Shah Rukh Khan was in the news for kick-starting the shoot in 2019. Speaking of this, a grapevine unveiled to DNA After Hrs that SRK wanted to invest completely his time into the Zero project until its release in December.

The actor had completed most of his advertisement shoots and also had asked his next movie Salute’s makers to push the film ahead by a number of months because he was paying his focus on Zero. Shah Rukh Khan would have been slated to start the Rakesh Sharma biopic around October. However, now, the movie will hit the screens in the next year.
