Shah Rukh Khan Slammed For Donning A Tilak, Called A “Fake Muslim” On The Occasion Of Diwali

The carnival atmosphere of the joyous season is yet to finish. While everyone is still enjoying their Diwali in a big way, superstar Shah Rukh Khan is once again facing backlash on social media for worshipping Ganesha.

King Khan has become the latest victim of Internet trolls for putting on a tilak during the festival Diwali.

The fact that on the occasion of the festival of light, SRK took to his social media handles to share a photo of himself with wife Gauri and last-born son AbRam donning a tilak and wish his fans a happy Diwali.

The star tweeted, “#HappyDiwali to everyone. May your lives be lit up and happy.”

However, soon after the post was out, it has been cooking up a storm of controversies as a group of Muslims have attacked the actor for breaking the conventional values. The post, of course, did not go down well with a section of people and also invited major wrath of Islamists. They slammed him and even called the actor a “fake Muslim.”

The star, on the other hand, has as yet had any response, though he has actress Shabana Azmi who is also known for being a Muslim in his corner. She also took to Twitter to shut down the trolls.

She wrote, "Appalled to read that@iamsrk  Diwali greeting invites wrath of rabid Islamists, gets called a “False Muslim” for sporting a tilak!”FUNDOS get a life! Islam is not so weak that it stands threatened by what is a beautiful Indian custom.Indias beauty is in her GangaJamuni tehzeeb."

Recently, SRK and his wife were seen attending the star-studded Diwali bash of Amitabh Bachchan. The star showed up in a dashing look with an all-black ensemble. Meanwhile, Gauri went for a pastel pink lehenga. The couple looked great together.
