Shah Rukh Khan has reportedly agreed to back actor Sanjay Mishra’s upcoming film “Kaamyaab” which revolves around the story of character actors and their struggles.

Shah Rukh Khan may not have announced his next film in a leading role after the debacle of Zero in 2018 but has been working actively on the production front. 2019 turned out to be a great year for Shah Rukh Khan as he delivered a successful film like Badla as a producer. It featured Amitabh Bachchan and Taapsee Pannu in lead roles.

Shah Rukh Khan will back Kaamyaab

Made on a shoestring budget, Badla went on to do stupendously well at the box office. It ended its lifetime run with an impressive figure of approximately 80 crores. Shah Rukh Khan followed Badla with the Netflix original series Bard Of Blood, featuring Emraan Hashmi, Vineet Kumar Singh and Kirti Kulhari in central characters. Kicking-off 2020 with yet another interesting film, SRK has decided to back seasoned actor Sanjay Mishra’s Kaamyaab.

The film tells an interesting story which has hardly been projected on celluloid. It revolves around the story of character actors and their struggles. In addition to Sanjay Mishra, the film will also feature Deepak Dobariyal and Sarika Singh in important characters. The makers thought Sanjay Mishra was the right fit since his career graph mirrors the storyline of the character. Hardik Mehta will call the shots for the upcoming project. He is currently busy helming Maddock Films’ upcoming movie Roohi Afzana, starring Rajkummar Rao, Janhvi Kapoor and Varun Sharma in prominent roles.

Talking about the projects that Shah Rukh Khan may choose to feature in, rumours are rife that he is set to collaborate with Rajkumar Hirani on a film. He is also rumoured to be joining hands with Yash Raj Films and Siddharth Anand for an action entertainer. His name is also being linked to projects by Raj Nidimoru & Krishna DK, and Atlee among others. However, the superstar is yet to make any official announcement.
