"Sex Education Should Be Taught In Schools", Says Sonakshi Sinha

Rapper Badshah and Sonakshi Sinha speak about the importance of population control and family planning in India.

Sonakshi Sinha will be seen in her upcoming family entertainer Khandaani Shafakhaana. The movie will be releasing on August 2 and will clash with Siddharth Malhotra and Parineeti Chopra's Jabariya Jodi.

The movie revolves around sex clinic which is inherited by a girl Baby Bedi (Sonakshi Sinha). During the launch of the trailer in Mumbai, Sonakshi Sinha spoke about the importance of sex education in the society. She emphasized on the importance of sex education in schools.

The actress spoke about the need to control the population in the country.

While answering questions from media persons, Sonakshi Sinha said, "We consider ourselves a modern society but we hesitate to talk about sex. If you are preachy, people don't pay attention to. You have to put it across in a way they understand. We have said it in a nice, funny and entertaining way. The director treated the subject with a lot of sensitivity. It talks about the importance of sex education, which should be introduced in schools."

Rapper Badshah and co-star touched similar views and said, "I think there should be family planning... We are a country of 130 crore people. Our resources are getting exhausted and we must think of family planning."

Producer Mrigdeep Singh Lamba added, "At a certain age, we should talk about the subject and that is the bottom line of our film as well."

The starcast also includes Varun Sharma, Annu Kapoor, Nadira Babbar, and Kulbhushan Kharbanda. The film is co-produced by Sundial Pictures and T-Series and directed by Shilpi Das Gupta.
